Back to school cupcakes with Lucks sugar decorations.

When I do these again, I will only use 1 topper per cupcake and smaller dragees or sprinkles.

Fall Cupcakes

These are some cute cupcakes with sugar leaves from Lucks.  I think I will make some more with chocolate cupcakes and peanut butter buttercream for this year.

Owl Cupcake Toppers: Tutorial Coming Soon!

My son's first birthday is coming up and his party is owl themed.  I've decided to make cupcakes with owl toppers to fit the theme.  I experimented over the weekend trying to decide what I wanted the toppers to look like and came up with something I think is cute.  Let me know what you think.

I will be posting a tutorial on how to make these cute toppers in the tutorials section.

I also am experimenting with different flavors.  The icing here is peanut butter icing.  I will post the recipe in the recipes section as well.

Mini cupcakes crawfish toppers

These cupcakes are just the right size for one bite at a time.  I made molded white chocolate crawfish for toppers.  The brown icing is still vanilla buttercream.  I just put brown color in it to look like mud.

The cake plate is a cherry blossom pink depression glass platter.  I collect that pattern and will take any excuse to get to use it for some reason.
